Remember the first time you folded a paper airplane and threw it up into the air.
Did it have a secret message spelled out inside? Did you chase it with delight?
I recently rediscovered the wonder of making airplanes on a rainy day when I was stuck inside with my son. Looking for something to amuse him I grabbed a piece of notebook paper and folded it into an airplane. When I hurled it into the air he squealed with delight and ran to pick it up bringing it back and pleading, "Again, fly!" Fly!
After that day of fun, I created this mobile that captures that simple moment of flight. Made from sheets of embroidered fabric these airplanes loop through the air in perpetual flight ready to capture the imagination of your dreamer.
Such a wonderful reminder to slow down and enjoy the simplest of pleasures. Ingenious!
